Broadway veteran Anne Kerry Ford first performed the songs of Kurt Weill in concert with WDRís 27 piece Big Band in Cologne (at Philharmonic Hall) and Dusseldorf, Germany and LiËge, Belgium, in 2000 as a tribute to Kurt Weillís centenary under the musical direction of jazz legend Roger Kellaway. The Cologne Stadt Anziger pronounced it “a huge success.” and the CD of this concert (ìWeillî) has been received with considerable acclaim. She is a devotee of the music of Kurt
Weill and is noted as one of the foremost interpreters of Weillís music. She also appeared in the Broadway production of Weillís The Threepenny Opera starring Sting.
